to sleep - Eco Domes El Chalten

A few of you asked me where I was hiding out in Patagonia.

The Eco Domes located in the middle of the forest in El Chalten are eco friendly, a trekkers and mountain climbers dream, powered by solar energy only, and have no (wifi) connection at all! I had no idea what I was getting myself into... But I just had to go and check it out! I was so intrigued by these domes! 

Completely being disconnected from technology, no wifi, no cell connection, I stressed out a bit at first.
But then, you open to door to these gorgeous domes, you settle in, get warm by the fire, dive into books ( cookbooks in my case) and enjoy a up of maté... It amazing what this place does to you and makes you slow down, truly enjoy and acknowledge the calm and silence of nature and relax with all eyes on that beautiful serene nature.

My little dome, in the middle of the woods, with - normally when the clouds don't decide to spoil the party- a perfect view of mount Fitz Roy was just incredible!  Only heated by the fireplace next to your bed, you go to sleep, filling your stove with all the wood you have on hand, to the sound of the woods crackling and smoldering red light.  You feel so protected in your little bubble away from the world.
Never thought I would miss waking up to a cold and fresh face and doing some yoga on the cold floor.
It was so amazing and peaceful, I would fly back in a sec!
Ok, and I have to admit...
The wet chocolate cake I had was the most amazing thing ever!
Girls and chocolate! They sure know how to get me hooked!
